A recent HBR.org article reminded me how important it is that we take the time to challenge the questions we are asking in making strategic decisions. With business intelligence [BI] and artificial intelligence [AI] taking up a lot of headspace, there is a very big focus on ‘finding the answers’. But how much time do you spend finding the quetions?
According to the article, the five most important questions are:
- What are we doing today?
- Why are you doing the work we are doing? Why now?
- How does what we are doing today align with the bigger picture?
- What does success look like for us?
- What else could we do to achieve more, better, faster?
