Description

The data strategy is a key component of the overall Business Insight Strategy

It defines the approach the enterprise will take to manage and apply its data in business intelligence and analytics tools.

With the expanded universe of data to include unstructured data, big data and mobile data, managing data has become a lot more diverse, and a lot more complex. This program focuses solely on the strategy for managing for BI purposes.

 


Objectives & Outcomes

This module is designed to engage participants to create a meaningful and relevant training environment to:

  • Gain insight into the strategic value of data in the organisation, and refine the purpose and objectives of data in the BI environment
  • Assess your current data management maturity
  • Identify & manage your data assets within the overall data management [DM] framework
  • Learn how to approach the use of different types of data for BI, including external big data and cloud data.
  • Define the roles are responsibilities in the data environment, clarifying responsibilities between business users, the BI team and IT.
