Module Reference: DI-3
Coach / Facilitator: Gail La Grouw
Description
It’s often been cited that Master data management (MDM) is about people and process; it is not about technology. However, inevitably, when MDM is approached from the IT perspective, efficiency objectives tend to focus more on technology, than the operational challenges.
This module approaches MDM from a BI perspective. It is the pivotal capability in the BI data strategy, as it is critical in aligning and connecting functions [and their BI data] through the development of the Business Glossary.
We walk through step by step the definition and agreement of MDM, and how to manage it going forward.
